Rosie
Since 2010, my professional work and volunteer experience have centred on engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures who are navigating stress, anxiety, and various personal and professional challenges. I am a highly trained, experienced mediator having successfully qualified as a L4 Workplace Mediator and have completed a foundational Family Mediator Course. I am also a Conflict Support Coach, a certified Mental Health First Aider and communication skills trainer. Additionally, I am a member of the College of Mediators.
I possess a broad foundation of expertise in supporting individuals facing conflict. In many cases, my role involves providing a supportive and empathetic listening space, enabling individuals to feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore pathways forward. In other instances, these conversations have evolved into facilitated paired or group mediations, guided by the participants’ choices and needs. My approach emphasizes support and empowerment rather than problem solving on their behalf, allowing individuals to develop solutions that align with their unique circumstances. It is a privilege to accompany people on this journey of resolution and personal growth.
Since 2013, I have been actively involved in designing, developing, and delivering training programs focused on advanced communication skills. During the initial COVID-19 lockdown, I personally conducted online conversation skills training for over 500 individuals who were providing mental health support to others. Since then, I have developed a wide range of communication skills courses which I deliver in person and online. My approach to training is highly customized, identifying the specific skills each participant seeks to enhance and delivering tailored guidance to meet their individual goals.
Most recently I have been the lead mediator for the Army, not only acting as Manager of the Mediation and Dispute Resolution Support Service but also as a Case Lead on enquiries, supporting individuals, delivering and actively taking part in mediations. I designed the Army Mediation Course which is now used to train all mediators within the Army.
I look forward to the opportunity to support you in your journey toward growth and resolution.
