Toby

Toby brings over 30 years of commercial and organisational leadership experience, having led and run a range of complex businesses and organisations across commercial, charitable and volunteer environments. He has worked in both the private and public sectors. His extensive experience has given him a deep understanding of leadership, organisational culture and the challenges that can arise when individuals and teams experience workplace or personal conflict.

Throughout his career, Toby has worked closely with people at all levels of organisations, helping them navigate complex situations, build stronger working relationships and achieve positive outcomes. His approach combines practical leadership experience with a strong focus on people, creating environments where individuals feel heard, valued and supported.

Toby has been a Mediator, Conflict Support Coach and Trainer for a number of years, developing broad and varied knowledge across a wide range of workplaces and organisational settings.

Alongside his mediation work, Toby has trained as a Mentor to support several mentoring programmes, including Mission Include, an award-winning cross-company programme established in 2018 to support and advance under-represented talent. This work reflects his commitment to developing people, unlocking potential and helping individuals progress with confidence.

He continues to invest in his own development through ongoing learning, training and self-study, ensuring that his knowledge and approach remain relevant and effective. He has an innate ability to foresee where human dynamics in any type of organisation and environment can lead to conflict and therefore underlying cost issues to those organisations.

Toby’s leadership style is grounded in calmness, integrity, empathy and collaboration. He brings a measured and constructive presence to challenging situations, creating the trust and space needed for people to have open and productive conversations. A natural listener, Toby is approachable, patient and focused on understanding different perspectives.

His passion is helping people and organisations navigate challenges, strengthen relationships and achieve their potential. He regards this work not simply as a profession, but as a personal vocation.
